Jim Bulldog Treher

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of the Detachment’s first Commandant. Jim “Bulldog” Treher joined the Marine Corps in 1946 at the age of 17. He joined the FBI in 1955 and had 25 illustrious years in the FBI including a stint as J Edgar Hoover’s personnel assistant. He helped to charter the South Hills Detachment of the Marine Corps League and became it’s first Commandant in 1990. Our condolences go out to his wife Barbara and the rest of the family.
